a time for somthing new

Alot has gone on in the past year, well since I've written anyway. I have found a job in the Omaha public School system, have done some traveling, moved out, got a dog, got married.... you know nothign too major. I'm kidding! Of course, I am not married nor am I dating anyone currently. But, everything else, thats has happened or is happening is true. God's doing some great things in my life and I and so thrilled being able to just sit back and watch him at work in me. ONE major step I am fast coming upon in the world of photography. I have been blessed with a pretty nice camera and some God given creative abilities thus I am starting my own photography business! WOW! I know its a huge business adventure that I am so excited to be on! I'm so excited to start living the life the way God wants and seeing what he's  got in store for me!

Graduation and summer fun!

Wow so much has happened! For a recap of the 2010-11 school year, my baskeball team finished really well. We won regionals and placed 6th place at Nationals. It was our first appearance in the Natoinal tournament in the history of Grace Royals Women's Basketball, so it was quite the accomplishment! I was honored to be named to the 1st Team All-Region and All-National Team Hon. Mention as well as All-American Hon. Mention. I am pleased to say I reached a Kevin Love sized goal of 19 pts, 5 blocks and 20 rebounds as well!

After the season I looked foreward to Graduation and all that it held. It was so very awesome to have the friends that I did this last year. They have definately made my last to years very memorable. My family has also been so awesome! All of their love, encouragement and support have meant so much to me.

As the summer started work became a priority for me. At Abide Network, I do a bit of everything. I repainted our entire living space as well as did a number of wood refinishing projects on various properties that Abide has been blessed to expand to. We put on blockparties which were all a sucess and got to spend time with family as well. Always remember to give love unconditionally and to chase Jesus like he stole something from ya!
All my love, Rade

2-1 Record... and more

Hey everyone!
This past week was intense! I was preparing with my team for two games with 3 of our players in Florida for volleyball national, an absent coach, 3 tests and a few other assignments. I did well on my academics and our preparation for our games payed off. We faced College of St. Marys JV team and pulled out with a win. The next night we came out, 6 players strong, a little banged up, but ready to go. Saturday at 2pm, we faced Hastings JV and ended up with a win as well. My goal for myself is to get 30 rebounds just like my new found NBA basketball love Kevin Love! I absolutely love him! Recently he had 31pts and 31 rebounds in a game against the knicks. It's the first time in about 28 years that an NBA player has scored 30-30. So you can see where I get my high goals! hahaha yes, they may be lofty and I may never reach them, but might as well try right?? What have I got to lose?? Needless to say, it is great to have our team and coach back for preparation this week. This Wednesday, November 17th we will not be playing. The game has been postponed. Next week we play four time. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. unfortunatley only the Monday game will be a home game. We play at 5:30 and the men play directly after! I look foreward to seeing you there! Remember! Live life on purpose, for we are only gaurenteed today and chase hard after Jesus like he stole something from ya!
I love you,
Rade

First Game!

Alumni weekend and all its happenings here at Grace are coming to a close. The alumni game was a fun experience and it was great to meet past family members of the Grace Women's Basketball program and to play ball with them. Today was our first game and we played Concordia University's JV team and unfortunately lost by 9 points. It was a learning experience and we'll do things differently for the next time we meet up with them. Thank you! so much to friends and family who came out to support me in today's game! You guys are awesome! I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to come and be apart of mine! Oh, you are probably wondering about the Homecoming Queen deal, well, I will know more on Monday in chapel! So until then, continue to live life radically on purpose right where you are, chase Jesus and be life-lifting in every conversation you take part in!
I love you.

Basketball Season!

Hey everyone! It's finally my senior year which means that my college life, as I now know it, is soon coming to a close. I'm really excited for what God has instore for me this year! It's hard to believe that we are halfway through first semester already and three weeks before Thanksgiving break! Basketball season is kicking off with the homecoming games this saturday, November 6th! We play at 2 o'clock and the men play at 4 o'clock pm. Speaking of homecoming, I have been nominated for Homingcoming Queen! Fun right? It's awesome to be honored like that, so we will see how things turn out and I'll keep you updated!  Have an awesome week  this week and don't forget to live your life radically on purpose! Chase after Jesus hard like he stole something from you and make it a point to be life-lifting in every conversation!
I love you,
Rade
